Clearly, she kept talking with the native, local people and didn’t seem to engage a lot with the English speakers. What I thought was funny was the fact that when those native Portuguese speaking folks got dropped back off at their pickup points - there were hugs and goodbyes and no mention of any tips/gratituities. “Our guide, Luis was a very nice person, spoke English very well. The pick-up was right on time. The lunch was an amazing one but for some reason, no drinks are included, not even water. The only downside was that the trip says its a train ride to the Christ The Redeemer but we were taken by an elevator probably because the queue for the train was a long one. But, I believe the Tour Organizers should anticipate this and promise only what they can deliver. Apart from this bummer, the tour went very well. They give you enough time to click pictures. :)”

Most of the reason is due to waiting in lines to go up or down.”

“The tour was basically hopeless. The van was filled to capacity and if you were in the back part of the bus , you could not hear any commentary at all. Mind you there wasn’t that much anyway. The microphone was inadequate for the bus and when turned up gave an echo that distorted the sound. A main requirement for any bus tour is a clear commentary. Our guide ( lady with the red hat ) gave very little overview of the background or the history and beginnings of each stop. We were dropped off at each location and told to return to the pickup points at the designated time…”
