“This trip started out pretty bad - our guide was Teresa, she really didn’t speak a lot of English and the biggest challenge was they had native speakers and English speakers in the same group. Clearly, she kept talking with the native, local people and didn’t seem to engage a lot with the English speakers. What I thought was funny was the fact that when those native Portuguese speaking folks got dropped back off at their pickup points - there were hugs and goodbyes and no mention of any tips/gratituities.
