Review of Rio’s Roxy Dinner Show, with Brazilian cuisine, music, dance, practical timing, dress advice, pricing, and honest value tips.

“The Roxy Show was pretty good with an overview of different types of dances in various regions of Brazil. The production quality was better than what I expected, with artistic visuals of costumes and settings and stunning landscapes in the background. Music and dance were contagious. We were there for the dinner, too, and our steak was pretty good, medium and medium rare as requested. The waiter was super friendly. There is no need to be there too early – it is not a first-come-first-served type of set up. Once you arrive, they will walk you to your table; seating is pre-arranged already. We were lucky to be seated in…”

“We were collected on time and returned to our hotel without any problems. We booked the meal component of this tour and we LOVED the restaurant. The food was great and I would highly recommend the Brazilian BBQ. It was a set price menu consisting of salad then all the meat you can eat served with rice, french fries and onion rings. The dessert was ice cream and fruit salad. Drinks were extra but not over the top. The show itself was caught in a time warp. The venue was old, the table and seating old and the drinks expensive and undrinkable we ordered red wine and couldn't drink it.…”

★★★★★★★★★★4.4 · 17 reviews · 4 hours · from $113

A practical review of Salvador by Night, with Afro-Brazilian dance, capoeira, Bahian dinner, transport, guide, value, and booking advice.

“The 'Folklore show with buffet dinner' was actually two separate events: the show, then dinner at a different restaurant. Not the combined experience advertised. I could have gone to a restaurant on my own, the menu selection was very limited and the wait staff didn’t pay me much attention. However the show was amazing. I guess the advertised show that was paid for, wasn’t available so the organizers of the tour provided an alternative experience.”

“The experience itself was great but getting a tickets was complete disaster! Roxy Dinner Show review in Rio: Brazilian music, dance, Art Deco style, chef-led dinner, transfers, costs, timing, and practical tips.
